#1 Healthy Cheap Breakfast!

Olaaaaa!

So, after 20 days of being healthier I realized two things:

  • I feel GREAT!
  • Healthy equals $$$$$$$!!!

Every Friday I will be posting Healthy CHEAP recipes! Hope you enjoy and if you have any tips please share them with me!

I had to search for low budget healthy food and put together recipes for my day to day. After a lot of Pinterest and trials, I’ve decided that Overnight Oats are easy, cheap and very healthy.


Recipe:

  • Rolled Oats – Half cup
  • Almond Milk – A little bit less then a full cup *You can choose any type of milk/yoghurt
  • 2 spoons of honey – Optional
  • 1 Tablespoon of chia seeds

Mix it all together in a glass jar (Checkers Sea Point sell these beauties for R14)

You just leave it overnight and the next morning you warm it up (I usually do 1 – 1/2 minutes) and then … the fun part!!!!

You can choose as many toppings as you like.

My favourite ones are:

  • Half banana
  • Blueberries
  • 2 spoons of shredded coconut

OR

  • Half banana
  • 2 Strawberries
  • Some almonds
  • Cinnamon
  • Chia Seeds
