Benefits of Green Tea

Hi, guys!

Ok, so for those who don’t know. Besides my number one love (COFFEE) I am also obsessed with tea, especially green tea. The good part about it is: Green Tea is really good for me.

Here are 10 Benefits of Green Tea:

1. It makes you young forever (OK, maybe not forever)! 

Yes, Green Tea apparently helps with wrinkles and the signs of ageing and this is because of their antioxidant and anti-inflammatory activities.

2. It makes your skinny. (OK, it helps you getting into your best shape.)

Green tea fasts your metabolism. The polyphenol (Ya, these big words!!!) found in green tea works to intensify levels of fat oxidation and the rate at which your body turns food into calories.

3. Keeps that pretty smile healthy!

Suggested by some studies –  “catechin” (More big words!!!) The chemical antioxidant in tea can kill bacteria and viruses that cause throat infections, dental caries and other dental conditions. So yay!

4. Reduces Cholesterol! And we hate cholesterol!

Green tea reduces bad cholesterol in the blood and improves the ratio of good cholesterol.

5. Combats allergies! Yes, no more ‘atchins’!!!

Green tea has to be added to your allergy season arsenal. Drinking the tea may provide some relief, as it’s been proven to be anti-allergenic.

6. No more pressure!

Regular consumption of green tea is thought to reduce the risk of high blood pressure.

7. If you trying to stop with the 7 coffees a day, DRINK THE GREEN WATER!

Ya, the taste is not the same, but if you suffer from caffeine dependence (it’s a real thing) try to change your daily coffee(s) for tea cups!

8. May lower Your Risks of Various Types of Cancer

Cancer sucks! And unfortunately, is more and more a fear in our life so we should try to prevent it!

It is well known that oxidative damage contributes to the development of cancer and that antioxidants can have a protective effect and Green tea is an excellent source of powerful antioxidants.

9. It makes you smarter! 

Back to my lovely friend: Caffeine. Caffeine is a beautiful stimulant and here come the difficult words:

What caffeine does in the brain is to block an inhibitory neurotransmitter called Adenosine. This way, it actually increases the firing of neurons and the concentration of neurotransmitters like dopamine and norepinephrine.

10. It has a great taste (COLD OR HOT)

I mean, it’s great in Winter and it’s great in Summer! What else do you want?
